Metadata-only preview

Documents page

Understand the Documents workspace page and its current limitations.

The Documents page is a preview of how a pipeline platform might organize source files. It is useful for understanding intended content-management workflows, but it does not prove that the files have been uploaded or indexed.

Intended flow #

A future implementation would receive a file, persist its bytes and metadata, parse the content, create chunks, and make the resulting embeddings available to retrieval stages. That sequence requires backend services not present in the reviewed frontend.

Current behavior #

Document selection and display are frontend experiences. Do not assume a file is searchable, durable, or private merely because it appears in a document list.

Formats #

The Document Loader registry lists PDF, DOCX, TXT, CSV, and MD as candidate input formats. Real ingestion support should be verified separately when the backend is implemented.
