Purpose #
Embedding maps text into numerical vector representations that can be compared by a similarity search process. The quality and compatibility of embeddings matter to retrieval design.

Design guidance #
Place Embedder after the processing stage and before Vector Store. Use its visible settings to document the model/provider choice intended for a future runtime. Do not assume a third-party service is contacted when you select a model in the interface.
Current limitation #
No vectors are generated or sent to a provider by the reviewed frontend.
