Security requirements; not implemented

Planned API key and security model

Read the requirements a future operational Ragify API must satisfy.

The current Ragify frontend does not include backend authentication, authorization, production API key issuance, or secure pipeline deployment.

Requirements for a future release #

  • Authenticate and authorize owners before allowing pipeline configuration, deployment, and key management.
  • Scope API keys to appropriate pipeline resources and permissions.
  • Store only secure representations of issued secrets where appropriate.
  • Provide explicit creation, rotation, and revocation semantics.
  • Enforce usage limits, timeouts, and responsible error responses.
  • Keep provider credentials and private configuration on trusted services, not in browser bundles.
  • Limit exposure of source documents, prompts, outputs, and logs.
  • Document transport security, monitoring, and incident handling.

Documentation rule #

Do not publish a “How to create an API key” tutorial until the full key lifecycle is operational and independently tested. Until then, label key-related content Planned and link readers to product availability.
